First, draw a small circle to create your turkey head. Once you have finished, draw a rectangle to form the neck and another circle (but larger than this) to illustrate the body of your character. Do not hesitate to draw body in front of your neck if you feel more comfortable in that way!
Now let’s add some details in the face of our character. Outline the eye using two small circles. They can overlap a bit to make the character look more active and cheerful. Then, add a rectangle to the mine.
Once you have finished, add a large rectangle to illustrate the snood of the turkey (you know, the red thing hanging below the mine!).
Next, add a circle to form the tail of your character. You can make it big by yourself. For feet, just add two small rectangles for now.
Let’s work on the basic shapes to fine-tune our drawing a bit. First, draw the outline of the body, but this time cover the neck and head in your shape.
Then, work on the face and outline the pupils of your turkey. Once you have finished, make the mine more realistic and sharper. For snood, just draw a nice smooth shape beneath the beak as shown on the image above.
The tail is made of many feathers. Illustrate the feathers by drawing some thin lines inside the tail. Also, note that each tail end is now straight and pointed.
Finally, draw a wing on the turkey body using a simple (and single) line. Feet should be drawn using three long toes. The turkey legs may be a bit longer than the one above, but since it’s a cartoon, we can cheat a bit!
Once you have finished sketching, you can add some nice colors on the body of your character so that it will look nicer and cleaner. This turkey cartoon guide has some nice challenges to overcome, but overall, you will have trouble drawing something that looks like a turkey if you follow this guide in a way. careful.
